TheGreen Education Foundation, a non-profit organization, was founded in early 2008 with the goal of promoting and enhancing the state of environmental education in our schools today. K-12 education is a major shaper of the truths, attitudes, ethics, concepts, and behaviors of American society.We believe that by reshaping educational curriculum so that it systematically and effectively fosters environmental awareness, our society will be able to make greater progress towards the achievement of a sustainable world.

Through Green Education Foundation's comprehensive website infrastructure, participating schools will have the ability to download environmental activities and educational content as well as engage in online community forums and blogs for teachers, parents, youth development leaders, and community officials.Additionally, Green Education Foundation has a goal to build collaborations between businesses, town officials, and school systems to implement new school-based recycling and waste reduction programs.
